One Night in Bangkok closed out New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 on Tuesday,September 15, 2026, at Capitale Bowery, the ornate architectural gem in New York City. Henry Samuel, the son of supermodel Heidi Klum and singer Seal, opened the 41-look show, presented by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under the Thai Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with WDYW New York and curated by Tan Sawaddichai. The runwaybrought together four of Thailand’s most celebrated designers: Collector Project, TARMAFIA,KH Editions, and Landmeé.
One Night in Bangkok reflects Thailand’s commitment to creating an intersection between its leading design talent and the global fashion industry. As interest in designers and creative talent from across Asia continues to grow, the show offered a distinct introduction to the breadth of Thailand’s contemporary fashion landscape, from experimental tailoring and utility-inspired design to romantic, highly crafted womenswear.
Taking a see-now-buy-now approach, the collections presented on the runway will be available for purchase at 3NY (448 Broome Street) through September 30, 2026. Bangkok-based designers can also be found year-round at Future Treasure (96 Orchard Street).
Collector Project
Henry Samuel
Ek Thongprasert
Collector Project, founded by Bangkok-based designer Ek Thongprasert, approaches fashion as a personal archive, drawing from materials, objects, images, craft techniques, and cultural references discovered through travel, flea markets, local communities, and forgotten sources.
His work brings vintage workwear, military garments, folk costumes, old textiles, photographs, and found objects into contemporary menswear, exploring how meaning and beauty shift when familiar things are removed from their original context. This collection began with two discoveries: a box of old film slides featuring early photographs of nude women and a provocative mural found in a rural temple in Northeastern Thailand. Bringing together Thai and Western representations of the body, the collection translates these references through embroidery, patchwork, vintage textiles, film fragments, and naive drawings, creating a dialogue between rural Thailand and the West, innocence and desire, and the sacred and the human.
TARMAFIA
Tar Lertchaikunsathien
Founded in Bangkok in 2008 by designer and creative director Tar Lertchaikunsathien,
TARMAFIA is built around the transformation of vintage pieces, forgotten materials, and
unexpected objects into new forms. Inspired by her mother’s creativity and her own early
experiments with reconstructing existing garments, Tar moves between streetwear and couture, combining deconstruction, reconstruction, hand embellishment, embroidery, vintage textiles, sportswear, and one-of-a-kind details. The collection transforms vintage denim and upcycled sportswear with embroidery, beading, fringe, and paillettes, elevating cool-kid streetwear into something more regal and maximalist. Strong graphics, ultra-wide-leg silhouettes, oversized layering, and street futurism define the collection’s bold, show-stopping aesthetic.
KH Editions
Mew Suppasit
Mew Suppasit made a major splash at New York Fashion Week during the "One Night in Bangkok" showcase for the SS2027 season. Representing Thai fashion on the global stage, he closed out the show by walking the finale look for the Thai streetwear brand KH Editions
Naphat Tansuwan and Panisara Maneerat
Founded by designers Naphat Tansuwan and Panisara Maneerat, KH Editions is a Bangkok
streetwear label rooted in art, graphic design, energy, and Thai culture. The name KH, short for “Kick it to the Highway,” reflects the brand’s spirit of independence and its approach to translating visual culture into experimental, wearable statements. Their collection draws on the grit and freedom of the open highway alongside Thai cultural influences, combining bold, ironic looks with innovative rPET fabric.
Landmeé
Netdaw Vattanasimakon
Established in Bangkok in 2002, Founded by Netdaw Vattanasimakon, Landmeé began as a small family business centered on handcrafted embroidery, fine lace, and premium fabrics and has since grown into one of Thailand’s pioneering luxury fashion labels. Lace and denim remain signature materials, balancing romantic femininity with a modern edge through innovative techniques and refined craftsmanship. Its Reverie collection explores the dream world through the perspective of curious young women, moving through themes of the forbidden, fantasy, flirtation, flight, and the elemental winds of dreaming. Sensuous silks, ribbons, lace, and feathers are transformed through intricate handwork into pieces designed to feel as though they are dancing and floating down the runway.
